IMI’S KING OF COVERMOUNTS

Robert SegalRobert Segal has been working in incentives for more than 15 years. Now he is focusing on covermounts and he shares his views on the magazine gifts industry.
"In an increasingly competitive magazine market, adding value to the magazine through covermounts still brings immediate and measurable results", says Robert.
"High levels of covermounting boost sales and increase impulse purchasing, especially to children, as younger readers love gifts and the excitement that a good gift can generate".
The covermount business while being driven by fads and fashions cannot avoid similar covermounts appearing in the market, which inevitably forces the publishers to move to more innovative gifts and there is a need for inspirational suppliers to create ever more exciting ones. That's where IMI come in!! Using our extensive in house design facilities and working closely with our office in China we have a never-ending stream of great products.
QC is vital today with ever more complex legislation. We stay on top of this with our technical partners.
Timely delivery is also vital. We can't be late for a publication! Lead times vary but we normally allow 12-16 weeks for bespoke items. Most of the items we produce are bespoke requiring plenty of planning and we do need time for samples and development of tools if required.
"Come and ask us for ideas and prices. We are ready and waiting" says Robert.

NEWS FROM OUR OFFICES AROUND THE WORLD

IMIIMI ASIA - SHANGHAI, CHINA
Many factory visits, audits and inspections are needed to ensure our hundreds of orders run smoothly. Aaron Fang and his team have been all over China recently ensuring all products meet our exacting standards. With QC requirements growing there is a vital need for this service. Their hard work pays dividends for our clients and ensures that our products meet the requirements.

IMI PROGEXION - PARIS, FRANCE
We've been very busy in France of late. Pernod Ricard, Bacardi, Expanscience, Unilever and others have all been very active this year.
Hervé Gex, our MD, has been in China recently travelling to meet key suppliers and developing new products for them. We are trying to expand the range of items we offer and plenty of thought and innovation are going into the ideas.

IMI NORDICS - HELSINKI, FINLAND
Publishers in this region still need to incentivise heavily. Subscription is hard won in a territory where reading is greatly prized. In fact there is more per capita reading of magazines than anywhere else in the world!
Therefore it means it is important to stay ahead. We are developing gifts for major clients such as Aller, Bonnier and Sanoma through our long term partner Olly Nyberg and his team. His experience in Direct Marketing means he fully understands our client's needs and can develop exactly what they want.
