IMI have very strict QC procedures that we adhere to for all the orders we manage. In todays competitive world there is no room for error here. We audit all factories, put together a Corrective Action Plans and send our staff to visit key suppliers regularly.
Our QC team in china headed by Charles Wang and Aaron Fang monitor the need for continuous improvement based on the CAP. 
In the UK we hold ethical meetings with clients to discuss and prioritize the objectives for each factory.
We also carry out During Production Inspections (DUPROs) and Final Random Inspections (FRIs) to agreed AQL levels and ensure that products comply with everything agreed with our clients. We use a number of inspection agencies but CMA and ITS Intertek are our main designated partners who carry out product testing ensuring compliance with the broad range of legal and mandatory requirements for the counties we deliver to.

Charity run

Nicole CobbIn keeping with IMI charity sporting traditions, one of our London based buyers, Nicole Cobb recently took part in the Vitality Run Hackney Half Marathon in aid of Cancer Research UK,
The run held on 22nd June 2014  was her first and she managed to finish in very impressive and credible 2.21hrs. Well done to Nicole!

We have been packing a variety of Revlon products for a number of years in our fulfilment centre in Dudley, West Midlands. This operation run by Linda McCarthy for many years has a successful track record of completing challenging and demanding packing tasks.
This year is no exception and the total packs we will put together for the Revlon Charlie brand itself is in excess of  350,000 sets! Pink Duos, Nail Enamels, Black Fragrances, and Red EDT packs are just some of the sets we put together amongst others we complete for King of Shaves, Marie Curie and other clients.

Art is one of the freshest influences this season. Sports Illustrated confirms that athletic influence shows no sign of slowing and minimal designs push forward with two theme options - Formula Solution and Soft Minimalist. The Power 80s is the new decade of reference, while Paradise Strip puts the glamour back into retro.

Pop

Avant Pop becomes one of the most influential seasonal references, lead by designers like Chanel, Prada, Celine and Preen.
Bright colours are essential, while prints and patterns take centre stage. Pop art faces and surrealist imagery are most forward, while print mixes and pop blocking offer commercial appeal.
Asymmetrical silhouettes and wrapped techniques add an edge, and 3D or jewel encrusted embellishments add to the lively and excessive theme.

Formula



A monochromatic palette is essential for plays on patterns like fractured or retro geometrics, while colour is added in perspective and patchwork geometric motifs.
Transparency is achieved with organza layers, while 3D textures and laser cut materials offer a novelty approach. Asymmetrical silhouettes and wrapped techniques are leading silhouette directions and cut-outs are a highlighted detail.

La Vie en Rose


La Vie en Rose is the prettiest and most feminine message of the season. Matthew Williamson, Giambattista Valli and Mary Katrantzou all get in on the action, set to a powdery pastel colour palette. A flowing assortment of fabrics include chiffon, organza and lace which turn up on fuller silhouettes and below-the-knee hemlines.
Florals are a major take-away, from cherry blossoms to botanical screens and romantic blooms. Flowers also make an appearance on influential 3D appliqués, in addition to popular ruffle details.

PhysEd


One of the most popular and commercial themes to progress forward is athletic reference in sportswear.
Active bright hues appear, set to an advanced material offering of nylon, neoprene, mesh and perforated materials. Colour blocking moves forward, while other pattern favourites include stripe remix and varsity numbers. Striped trim is a favourite and zippers are leveraged both for function and design.

Kitsch


Milan designers take on the tropics with a burst of bold colours and prints. Highlighted patterns centre around florals via palms, dark paradise and tropical explosion motifs. Materials dress up the look from silk satin to printed chiffon, while key items like matched sets also celebrate prints. Details include halter necks and slits in terms of silhouette, with more elaborate expressions featuring beading or 3D embellishment.

She decided after some years to make a complete career change and came across a position in the Covermounts industry in 2006. She has since learnt a great deal about the industry working with publishers in the UK and Europe. This she has coupled together using a wide range of factories in china helping create exciting and wonderful gifts for children's magazines.
