Blank Sailings Continue Through November

Carriers are continuing to manage capacity carefully, with blank sailings now extending through November and additional cancellations expected into December.

This tighter capacity, combined with a gradual rise in demand, is leading to rate increases from the beginning of November across several major trade lanes. While most schedules are operating as planned, some short-notice changes and minor delays may still occur as carriers balance capacity with available volumes.

We will continue to monitor sailing schedules closely and share any updates that may affect your shipments.

Container Truck Movements Disrupted at Chittagong Port

Container truck operations at Chittagong Port in Bangladesh have been disrupted this week due to protests by members of the Trailer and CV Owners Association. The action follows a recent increase in gate entry fees introduced by the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA).

Protesters have staged blockades at port entrances, temporarily restricting the movement of containers between inland depots and the port. As a result, container movements between inland depots and the port have been partially disrupted, causing delays to both export and import flows. Some vessel loading operations have also been affected as a result of slower truck turnaround times.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will share updates if there are any further impacts to shipments moving via Chittagong.
